Why Choose Kirk's
Kirk's Medical Services is a Washington corporation which was founded in 1968 and incorporated in 1981.

Kirk Westenfelder is the founder and has been the President and sole shareholder since inception. Kirk's has grown from a staff of three in January 1968, to a staff of over 25.

Kirk's began operations in Olympia, Washington as a pharmacy and drug store and in 1984, expanded to offer homecare services including oxygen and respiratory products, hospital beds, wheelchairs, etc. In 1991, the homecare business was expanded to include a second location on the West side of Olympia. The homecare business provides customers with a access to numerous home medical products and features home delivery with 24 hour service for emergency oxygen needs.

In 1996, Kirk's opened a clinical pharmacy providing services to nursing home, assisted living facility, and group home patients throughout the South Sound area. As a compliment to the homecare services, the clinical pharmacy offers hospice services (medications, pain relievers) focusing on empathetic care for the terminally ill. Kirk's has provided hospice services since the late 1970's.

The retail pharmacy division was sold in January, 1998, and the variety store ("drug store"), with the exception of the Hallmark line and the Post Office, closed in 1998. The Post Office and Hallmark shop were sold in November, 1999.

Currently Kirk's operates the Clinical Pharmacy, Service/Repair and Homecare departments at the 6149 Martin Way E location and Homecare services on the West side of Olympia at 406-C Yauger Way SW.
